Redesign Center Céramique

The Center Céramique is a multifunctional building in Maastricht in the Céramique district of the same name. The building was designed by Jo Coenen and houses, among other things, the Maastricht city library and various exhibition spaces.

Various municipal collections are managed in Center Céramique, such as the pottery collections of the Sphinx, the Socíeté Ceramique and the Mosa, the Limburg and Maastricht archeology collections and the glass collection.

After intensive use, Center Céramique will be made future-proof again in 2020: more sustainable, more accessible and with a current cultural offering. With the new layout and design of the library, tailor-made and integrated exhibitions for heritage and visual culture and the arrival of the Kumulus music school, the ambition to make Center Céramique the cultural heart of Maastricht is one step closer.

Center Céramique will be a place for meeting and the place where everything comes together: learning, interest, production and presentation.
