Escher – Other world

The double exhibition Escher – Other World in Kunstmuseum The Hague presents an interaction between Escher's prints and the spatial installations of the Belgian artist duo Gijs Van Vaerenbergh.

This double exhibition is divided into two sections representing day and night, a contrast that fascinated Escher. The first part of the exhibition, titled 'DAY', takes place in large, bright rooms that are thematically divided, in which the work of Escher and the spatial installations of Gijs Van Vaerenbergh challenge and reinforce each other. In the second part of the exhibition, called 'NIGHT', authentic themes are highlighted in cabinets, like small lights in the dark. Kloosterboer Decor is responsible for the interior construction of this unique exhibition
