Who are we

Kloosterboer specializes in the design and construction of interiors for museums, exhibitions, theme parks, catering and sets for theater, television and film.

We produce

Total creations

Every assignment is unique.
Nothing is to crazy

IEvery assignment is unique. But nothing is too crazy, everything is possible in terms of design, material, size and technology. We have the departments of set and interior construction, ship interior, furniture making, decoration, (fine) metalworking, electrical engineering and AV multimedia. All these different creative disciplines require different standards and therefore their own specific approach. Innovative techniques go hand in hand with traditional craftsmanship. The disciplines work closely together, have the flexibility to switch quickly and jointly achieve the most special total creations.

We work with a team of 50 permanent employees and 20 freelance employees. Their knowledge, ability to improvise and love for the unusual guarantees that the result will meet every expectation.

Our method

From drawing board to end result

Method

Our working method is characterized by intensive collaboration between designer and builder. Kloosterboer can be called in to contribute ideas to the process, both in the idea or design phase and in ready-to-use plans. From drawing board to end result, we are in constant dialogue with our clients.

Engineering

At the start of a project we are concerned engineering team led by an experienced project manager to convert the design into technical drawings. Detailing, choice of materials and all technical details are prepared down to the last detail for the production phase. All this in close collaboration with the designer. Our excellently equipped workshop and drawing department in Purmerend play an important role in both preparation and construction.

production

As much preparation as possible takes place in our workshop so that installation on location can proceed smoothly. After the project has been built, delivered and opened, the work is not done. We provide service and maintenance where necessary.

Technology /
AV multimedia

In recent years, our technology / AV multimedia department has grown into a broadly developed department. Here, mechanical and electrically driven parts are designed and constructed, as well as  beamer projections, controls, lighting, robotics and show control.

We strongly believe that investing time and energy pays off in the long term. The all-in-one control (show control) system for mechanics, lighting and AV, developed entirely in-house, is a wonderful example of this. This stable operating system is specifically tailored to the exhibits we produce and is also user-friendly for the client.

The new and the old craft

Cross-pollination

Social

We believe it is important that the knowledge gained over the past 35 years is passed on to the younger generation. The healthy cross-pollination between the new and the old craft forms the basis for an inspiring workplace.

We actively participate in improving cooperation between training courses and the business community. We are a recognized training company for various courses of study. We also organize school visits to the company together with educational institutions to make students enthusiastic about technical craftsmanship.
