Life – Naturalis

For the renovated Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, Kloosterboer has been able to develop and produce the Leven hall in collaboration with the design agency Kossmanndejong Leven is the entrance hall of the museum, located in the heart of the building.

Sensational decor with masterpieces from the Naturalis takes you through diverse landscapes. You start in the deep sea and end on top of a mountain top, almost in the air. Along the way you will meet a wide variety of plants and animals.

This room is all about the whole, how all plants and animals work together, from small to large. You walk under an immense shark, come face to face with an African elephant, pass by a huge flock of butterflies and special birds. You can even pet some animals. Combinations of light, film and sound make you really become part of the Leven hall. Here you experience the beauty and richness of nature with all your senses.
