Botanical Gardens Utrecht University

In the new Evolution Garden of the Botanical Gardens in Utrecht, visitors take a fascinating time journey of 500 million years through the fascinating evolution of plants. The Evolution Garden forms the scientific heart of the Botanical Gardens of Utrecht University and tells the story of the evolutionary family tree of the plant kingdom, which goes back hundreds of millions of years.

The Evolution in Motion project goes through several phases. All paths and infrastructure have now been constructed, and the educational furnishings and public information are also ready. In the next phase, developed by Studio Tjep, moving artistic installations are produced.

The official opening to the general public is scheduled for 2025.
