Meeting at the Waterloo intersection

In the middle of the National Military Museum, the beautifully restored painting of the Battle of Quatre-Bras, made by Jan Willem Pieneman in 1818, has been unveiled.

In the painting, the young Prince of Orange leads Dutch troops into battle with Napoleon's army at Quatre-Bras in 1815. A gigantic painting, measuring 6 by 4 meters.

The painting is part of the small exhibition "Encounter at the Waterloo Crossroads," featuring unique objects from the painting. Kloosterboer is responsible for the exhibition's interior design.
