The Magic Mountain – International Theater Amsterdam
At the beginning of the twentieth century, young Hans Castorp goes to a sanatorium in Davos, Switzerland, to visit his cousin. He plans to spend three weeks there. He ends up staying for seven years.
Through his encounters with other guests at the spa – a series of eccentric characters – he gains a polyphonic picture of conflicting views on life.
Stef Aerts and Marie Vinck from the Antwerp theatre company FC Bergman create a new version of The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann.
Kloosterboer was responsible for the construction of the set.
