In Dear Evan Hansen, single mother Heidi tries to reach her vulnerable teenage son, Evan, in a world of performance pressure and social media. When Evan gets caught in an innocent lie that escalates and goes viral, he finally gets everything he longed for: friendship, love, and validation. But what remains when the story turns out to be false?
