Hello Rembrandt!
Hello Rembrandt! is an active exhibition for adults and children, now open at the Rembrandt House Museum. What makes Rembrandt's art so special? What was paint made of in the 17th century? Get to know Rembrandt's masterpieces by seeing and participating together.
Young explorers aged 3 to 6 can play with the figures from The Night Watch, dress up as Rembrandt, and mix different colors using a projector. Children aged 7 to 12 can explore Rembrandt's lighting, observe the number of layers used to build a painting, or delve into a pigment cabinet containing all the pigments Rembrandt used to create his paint.
With interactive elements like digital screens and a photo booth with Rembrandtesque lighting, you'll discover how Rembrandt worked. Kloosterboer was responsible for the exhibition's interior as well as the interactive elements.
Hello Rembrandt! was initiated and curated by the Mauritshuis, The Hague, and was on display there in the summer of 2019.
