Hello Vermeer!

The Mauritshuis is celebrating its 200th anniversary throughout 2022 with special exhibitions. From July 9th to August 28th, the hands-on family exhibition "Hello Vermeer!" can be visited at the Mauritshuis.

In this interactive exhibition, young and old alike can learn more about the famous painter Johannes Vermeer. Maurits Mouse recounts his adventures with the Girl with the Pearl Earring, and children can explore on their own. Using a blacklight, you can discover where Vermeer painted the light. In the pharmacy of the reconstructed 17th-century Delft street, you'll learn what paint was made of and where the ingredients came from.
