The happiness of Limburg

A compelling family chronicle, chronicling the rise and fall of the Limburg mines. Starting July 23rd, Huub Stapel stars in the title role, alongside Magtel de Laat, Buddy Vedder, Nandi van Beurden, and Emil Szarkowicz.

In this new musical theatre spectacle by director Servé Hermans (Diary of a Shepherd Dog, among others), you descend into the mines with the miners and experience life in the mining colony from the inside.

Three generations, one family, and a life defined by mine, church, and state against the backdrop of industrialization, war, and change.
