The happiness of Limburg
A compelling family chronicle, chronicling the rise and fall of the Limburg mines. Starting July 23rd, Huub Stapel stars in the title role, alongside Magtel de Laat, Buddy Vedder, Nandi van Beurden, and Emil Szarkowicz.
In this new musical theater spectacle from director Servé Hermans (whose credits include "Diary of a Shepherd Dog"), you descend into the mines with the miners and experience life in the mining colony from the inside. Three generations, one family, and a life defined by the mine, church, and state, against the backdrop of industrialization, war, and change.
Kloosterboer Decor took care of the set construction, including the imposing "coal mountain" with walkable paths, an impressive construction of Alushape, measuring 30 x 13 meters and a height of 8 meters.
A wonderful collaboration between all parties involved, realised in a short construction period and with great craftsmanship.
From July 23rd to December 28th, exclusively on view at the Rodahal, Kerkrade.
