The State Hotel

The permanent exhibition "The State Hotel" is an interactive exhibition about prisoners and detention. What happens to you when you commit a crime? Who is in our prisons and why? Meet five people who committed crimes and follow them through their arrest, conviction, and imprisonment.

At Het Staatshotel, visitors are confronted with current issues. Should TBS patients be allowed to go on probation? Is it permissible to broadcast footage of an assault to increase the chances of catching the perpetrators? These are timely questions that everyone can discuss for themselves.
