Kessels Museum
In the new Kessels Museum you will be taken into the history of the former musical instrument factory of Mathieu Kessels and sons in the city center of Tilburg.
The museum shows the heritage of Mathieu Kessels, who was active in Tilburg between 1880 and 1950. All kinds of instruments were made; brass instruments, woodwind instruments, percussion, string instruments and keyboard instruments. He exported these instruments worldwide.
Mathieu Kessels was a driven and progressive entrepreneur, composer, organizer and stimulator of musical life. By 1920, the factory employed more than 450 workers, making it the city's largest employer.
The museum interior was designed by design agency Kinkorn. Kloosterboer produced and installed this new device.
