Time for Papua – Wereldmuseum Leiden

On February 13, 2026, the Wereldmuseum Leiden opened the exhibition Time for Papua: an impressive presentation of 400 objects from the world's largest Papuan collection from western New Guinea.

For the first time in sixty years, the exhibition brings together historical objects with contemporary art and voices from Papua and the Dutch diaspora. With attention to context, connection, and responsibility, Time for Papua see both the traditional and current significance of this culture, with roots dating back 45,000 to 50,000 years.

Kloosterboer realized the complete exhibition construction of this special presentation.
