Inventor Drafter

Kloosterboer Decor BV is looking to strengthen our team in the short term!

For over 40 years, we have been creating sets and worlds that you won't easily forget. From museums and theme parks to theaters, experience centers, and hospitality: we conceive and build extraordinary total experiences.

In our own workshop, everything comes together. Wood, metal, technology (AV, hardware, mechanics), painting, interior construction, and creative ideas. Craftsmen from various disciplines work side by side here on projects that are different every time. Large, small, technical, creative, or a combination of everything: we love it when it just a little bit different must.

And sitting still? We certainly don't. At the moment, we are building a new exhibition for a special project in, among other things. Athens, An food truck like you have never seen before and various sets for the International Theatre Company Amsterdam. And that is just a sample of what is currently happening in our workshop.

No day is the same. No project is the same. But there is always something special to design and see become reality.

Curious about what else we are experiencing? View our completed projects on our website at Projects.

Are you someone who…

  • Do you enjoy combining technology and creativity?
  • gets enthusiastic about developing special designs in Autodesk Inventor?
  • do you enjoy brainstorming how a creative idea can be realized technically and practically?
  • do you enjoy seeing your drawings eventually become reality in our own workshop?

Then we are looking for you!

INVENTOR DRAFTSMAN

As an Inventor Drafter with us, you don't draft standard products. You work on technical solutions for special interiors, sets, exhibitions and total experiences.

You translate designs in wood and/or metal into clear and technically feasible Inventor drawings. In doing so, you think not only in terms of lines and dimensions, but above all in terms of solutions. After all, what is uniquely conceived on paper must ultimately be able to be actually manufactured.

You support the project leader with the technical elaboration and work closely with our fellow draftsmen and craftsmen in the workshop. Many wooden parts are made with us using the CNC machine milled. Additionally, we have metal parts cutting and setting and mechanical parts are with the CNC milling machine processed. Do you already have experience preparing drawings for CNC machining, such as milling, cutting, and bending? That's a plus. Don't have that yet? Then our experienced colleagues would be happy to teach you how it works.

What makes drawing at Kloosterboer Decor special? Your work doesn't disappear into a folder as soon as the drawing is finished. Just a few meters away, you can see how colleagues transform your drawings into wood, metal, and technical work. You can consult, adjust, improve, and ultimately see with your own eyes what is being made of your artwork.

What do you get from us?

  • Work on unique and diverse projects that you talk about with pride.
  • A position in which technology, creativity and practical solutions come together.
  • Direct contact with the workshop, so you actually see your drawings being built.
  • An enthusiastic and informal team with draftsmen and professionals from various disciplines.
  • Lots of variety: no series production, but a new project and a new technical challenge every time.
  • Opportunity to further develop yourself as a draftsman.
  • The opportunity to learn more about CNC and various production and construction techniques, among other things.
  • A competitive salary with growth prospects and good employment conditions.
  • 36 hours per week.
  • A well-prepared, freshly prepared lunch every workday.

What are you bringing?

  • A completed MBO or HBO education in a technical field, for example Mechanical Engineering, Middle Management Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
  • A broad interest in technology and a sense of design.
  • You can translate a design into clear, technically feasible drawings.
  • Experience with CNC preparation or programming is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You work accurately and have an eye for detail.
  • You think practically and solution-oriented and enjoy figuring out technical challenges.
  • You can work independently, but find it at least as important to achieve the best results together with colleagues.
  • You are curious and want to continue developing yourself in the profession.

Does this sound like something you would like to sketch? Then we would love to get to know you.
