Shell Expedition Earth

When the visitor Expedition Earth Once you enter, you're in for a treat. A virtual elevator takes you on a journey through the Earth's crust. It's not an easy journey, as the layers you pass through are erratic and the journey is bumpy. The deeper you go, the warmer it gets. The layers you encounter along the way include salt, sand, gas, coal, diamonds, and magma. You'll end up in the Earth's core at a depth of 6,000 kilometers.

This virtual journey to the Earth's interior is based on Jules Verne's famous story and was developed in collaboration with Shell, EBN, TNO, and the Land Registry. The attraction was introduced during the Shell EcoMarathon and will be on display at GeoFort and various Shell events in the coming years.
