The Hours

The Hours unfold over one day in the lives of three women, at three different points in the 20th century. One is a book publisher, another a housewife, and the third is the author Virginia Woolf. All three of them struggle with the question of how to be yourself in a world that feels like a straitjacket.

Both the book and the successful film adaptation by Stephen Daldry (starring Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep) have become classics.
