Pension Harderwijk: rooms full of stories!

The renovated Stadsmuseum Harderwijk reopened on June 9th with an interactive permanent presentation on the city's history. Kloosterboer, in collaboration with the museum and XPEX, was commissioned to develop the exhibition plan for the permanent presentation: Pension Harderwijk | Rooms Full of Stories. This creative, collaborative process, from hand-drawn sketches to fully developed experiences, including technical interactives, was a success.

Over the centuries, the city of Harderwijk has been shaped and colored by the comings and goings of people from all corners of the globe and with the most diverse backgrounds. At Pension Harderwijk, you'll meet some of these people. Each guest represents a special period in the city's glorious past. Through their eyes, Harderwijk's past comes to life. You can even expect a reaction from the characters, a feature created by Rnul, including voice recognition.

Residents of Harderwijk might recognize four of these regulars, as they each contribute to the city's community in their own unique way. These four Harderwijkers traveled to Tilburg, where Replicad created life-size 3D sculptures of them.

In addition to the permanent presentation, there is an art exhibition and a new exhibition every six weeks in the museum.
