Triceratops

Since 2013, Naturalis has conducted impressive excavations in Wyoming, USA. The researchers discovered the fossils of no fewer than six individual Triceratops dinosaurs there, which is a globally unique find.

After more than ten years of excavation and preparation, the animals will be ready to be exhibited in the museum in October 2024. Prior to the exhibition in Naturalis, the five skeletons will be assembled at various libraries and natural history museums in the Netherlands. As a visitor you can be present and experience this construction up close.

After installation, the five triceratopses travel simultaneously to Naturalis, where they play the leading role in the new exhibition. A 3D-printed copy of the dinosaur in question remains in the libraries.

Kloosterboer will build the Triceratops on Tour exhibition. This will be composed of as many sustainable and recycled materials as possible by reusing elements from previous exhibitions.
